Michael didn't seem to believe our votes counted for anything at all. He was of a mind that the selected person would end up in office, and I don't mean the elected person. I haven't seen a sign of Mike being around for quite some time, but today reminds me of a dream I saw him in a few months back. He came walking up to me in Mom's kitchen and said "So, Glenda. About this election. Do you believe in accountability?" I replied jokingly that I was completely against accountability. He screwed up his forehead and said: "But -- the guy's a THUG!"
And that was that. He did not clarify which one he meant.
Happy Election Day to all and best of luck I pray. I picked up an absentee ballot at the county board of elections and mailed my vote last week. Took the ballot to the nursing home and discussed all the issues with our mother before voting. Best visit we've had in a while.
